I'm Carissa Joy.

First, I want you to know how much Jesus loves you - he values you so much that He DIED for you to rescue you from hell and bring you into His kingdom. God is incredible and I would love to tell you more about Him.

I am an alien in the spiritual desert they call Salt Lake City. All I want to do is make it through life fulfilling the purpose God has set out for me.
And I believe He has called me to a very high purpose.

I just don't know what it is yet.

Hello world, my name is Carissa Joy. 

I’m a stateside missionary kid. I have love/hate relationships with running, literature, crafts, and youth ministry.

I grew up in San Diego, I currently live in Salt Lake City, I’m going to Liberty University in Virginia in the fall, and I want to live in Latin America because I speak relatively fluent Spanish… Relative to your basic white Californian. I’m eighteen, I’m a college junior, and I’m a recovering lust addict.

I am imperfect and unlovable, but I have been redeemed by a Savior who loves me enough to give up His own life to save me from the very sins that nailed him to the cross. My life revolves solely around Christ and Him crucified. Nothing matters unless it is to the glory of the King.
