The “Why I Hate Religion” video… in a youth group?!

Read this status, ladies and gentlemen. This is an eighth grade girl from my small group when I lived in San Diego. Now, keep in mind that I am talking with her and working through some things with her via Facebook and getting people who still are at the youth group involved in her life.
But pay attention to what she says about her church. (It’s not the church I served at, by the way, but another one in town.) Wanna know why she said such things?
Because they showed her the “Why I Hate Religion, but Love Jesus” video.
Now, I’ve never been a supporter of that video simply because his failure to define “religion” makes the video very confusing for those who are not deeply rooted in the faith, but I am fuming that, for one, the video is so confusing that a bright and searching girl cannot comprehend it, and two, that her youth group showed her the video and then let her go home upset and confused.
NO CHURCH has the right to confuse a thirteen year-old girl about God and send her home that night wondering what on earth she’s been following all this time if religion is wrong.
I’m fuming right now. Smoke coming out of my ears and everything. This isn’t okay. Wake up, Christians.
Present a clear Gospel or don’t present the Gospel at all.
